Mage Tanks was originally an experimental RTS project for mobile. I am now transitioning it into a full, respectable desktop RTS. For this I seek feedback on many different aspects of the game flow to find its proper target audience.

What is Mage Tanks?

Prepare yourself.

Mage Tanks is an indie real time strategy roguelike. You are the Archmage, They Who Command All Elements, and you must lead your people to victory!

Simple but strategic battle.

Command your Tanks by dragging formations. Surround, and trap your enemy. Build lines of defensive turrets and charge into the fray. Pause the game whenever you like. Tanks fight automatically, no exhausting micromanagement required!

The Expedition must succeed!

Complete a brutal series of combat encounters to lead your people to the Artifact. Luckily, you gain new overpowered upgrades after every level, which you use to change your army into a bizarrely powerful fighting force. Attack your enemies from across the map, make your Tanks invulnerable to damage, or instantly kill anything that touches you!

Blaze. Ice. Fusion. Earth.

Each Tank has an Element that counters another Element, and each has different combat characteristics. Combine Tanks for awesome strategies.
The Hailstorm bombards lightly armored targets from long range, while swarms of sturdy Contenders obliterate any Blaze–based attacker getting close. The Incinerator burns all Ice targets from close range, and the fragile but long–ranged Gluon provides supportive fire.

Collect your army. Form your Formation!

After every run, unlock cool new scrolls. Gain Mana to upgrade your forces to reach higher levels. Find Enchantments to improve your Tanks even further. Unlock new Tanks randomly– with a forgiving guarantee to make sure you can get any Tank you want! Play on your own difficulty, and form a mighty army!
